Bravery This award is given to a camper who is brave and is able to overcome her fears. She is able to try new things or do the right thing when it is not the easy choice. This camper knows the difference between right and wrong, and is willing to make good choices even when what is right does not match what is popular. She is brave at activity areas, where she tries something new or outside of her comfort zone. She is fearless when it comes to reaching her goals, standing up for what is right and making camp a better place for all.
Kindness Campers receiving this award are those who we all enjoy being around for their bright smiles, welcoming spirits, and inclusive attitudes. Kindness is a behavior marked by acts of generosity, consideration and concern for others without expecting praise or awards in return. This camper can put herself in someone else’s shoes and shows a great understanding of her fellow campers. She is kind and compassionate with all of her fellow campers and staff, and does her best to learn the perspective of others during conflict.
We loved welcoming our 2026 Peakers to camp for our Winter Retreat Weekend, with Brant Lake giving us a true Adirondack winter backdrop. The Point in the snow is always something special.
We fit a lot into the weekend. There was plenty of winter fun, including sledding and a walk out on the lake, plus a little relaxed time together in the Dining Room. And in true retreat fashion, there was also a lot of planning. The group spent real time talking through the summer ahead, sharing ideas, and working together on how they want to lead in 2026, with the goal of making camp exciting for everyone from the very first day.
A big thank you to our parent chaperones for making the weekend possible and for being such a fun part of it. At the end of the evening, they helped close out the night with a warm “Goodnight Camp!”
We left the weekend energized and excited for what is ahead. Summer 2026 will be here before we know it.

We just wrapped up our 2025 Point O’Pines Reunion and this year we brought the reunion to a bowling alley. It was a terrific setting for everyone to come together again.
Friends reunited as they arrived with time to talk and settle into the feeling of being part of our POP community. Soon we were all on the lanes. As soon as the first balls rolled down the lanes the whole space filled with the kind of energy we see at camp. Friends cheered each other on and had a great time just being together.
We enjoyed lunch during the event, giving everyone another chance to relax and enjoy time with friends. After bowling, we watched our summer video and relived favorite moments together on Brant Lake. Yearbook signing followed with messages from friends and memories to hold onto until the summer.
We also honored our Team Captains and Lieutenants for their great work and for leading such a wonderful Team Competition this summer. Looking ahead, we shared a preview of some of the new trips planned for next summer, and the excitement in the room made it clear how special camp remains to everyone. We were also glad to have a surprise visit from Charlotte, whose arrival brought wide smiles and many hugs.
Reunions always remind us how strong these friendships are and how readily the feeling of camp returns. Thank you to everyone who joined us and to all who traveled to be part of the day. For those who could not join us, we missed you.

Our Peakers created a warm and joyful Home Sweet Home Banquet, inspired by the classic game of Candyland. Guests entered along the winding game board path and into a dining hall transformed with bright colors and playful touches, each poster reflecting their love for Point O’Pines. Thank you, Peakers, for a beautiful evening filled with creativity, laughter, and heartfelt moments.
This celebration was a highlight of a wonderful summer together. We are so grateful for our amazing campers, our dedicated staff, and the supportive parents who make this community so special.

We also took this opportunity to recognize outstanding staff, including two recipients of the Sherie Alden and Erin Shoulberg Award for Outstanding Leadership. This award will be accompanied by a scholarship grant from the Himoff Family and was created to celebrate staff members who exemplify caring, fun, organizational skill, and leadership. Honoring those staff members who have demonstrated these extraordinary qualities celebrates and honors what Erin and Sherie brought to their life at Point O’Pines Camp.
