The Right Camp

A traditional camp season of seven weeks transforms sleep away camp from a simple daily schedule into an experience of developing friendships that last a lifetime. Not only do campers have the opportunity to try out many new activities, they have the time to truly master them. Each summer at camp is an unfolding story that builds to an exciting crescendo as campers lead special events they have been preparing throughout the summer, such as our Team Sing, Senior Night, Gold Rush, and Banquet. The most treasured aspects of camp would not be realized in only part of the full season.

Campers with an intense interest in a specific sport or activity area, such as tennis, soccer, gymnastics, or horseback riding, enjoy Point O’Pines Camp as much as campers with broader interests. We individually tailor each camper’s schedule so that campers who focus on a particular passion at home can continue to be challenged during their time at camp. We have incredibly talented and experienced coaches and staff who support our campers’ activity development with their skilled instruction. This high-level instruction throughout all areas of camp creates an environment that complements individualized goals while supporting a well-rounded experience.

Girls excel in an environment where they can run things their way and can experience the success of their unique approach to leadership. At Point O’Pines our campers have ample opportunities to thrive in leadership roles, build their confidence through learning new skills, and develop strong bonds with fellow campers without the self-conscious anxiety that can be present in a co-educational setting. During the school year, it is common for girls to wake up in the morning and worry about what to wear or how to do their hair. At Point O’Pines, girls know they will be wearing their camp uniforms and do not worry that they will be judged on their appearance. They are able to focus on having fun while developing skills and forming lifelong friendships. We watch with excitement as our campers grow into secure young women ready to apply their sound character and strong leadership skills.

Yes, our brother camp, Brant Lake Camp for Boys, is just a couple of miles down the lake. Many of our campers have brothers and cousins who attend Brant Lake Camp. We organize weekly visits for our campers who have relatives attending Brant Lake Camp.
