We miss our campers and staff already. We all really had the best time together this summer! We came together, created and experience the magic of the Point. You accomplished so much, and parting is so very hard. We hope that you have had time to reflect on the most treasured of your summer memories
One of the most difficult parts is seeing the great Peak of 2022 going off to open a new chapter of life. You Peakers made the summer spectacular. We are so excited to see how you continue to grow, and the amazing things you will accomplish. The Point will always be here for you.
Some of the best times are when you take “A Trip Down Memory Lane.” Tonight was one of those times. It was a great banquet theme for this summer planned by our Peakers.
What a great summer it has been! We are so fortunate to have such caring staff, campers and our Peakers have been wonderful. We have made so many memories from the first step off the bus to tonight’s banquet. It was a great night to celebrate.
Tonight we also recognized some of the individual campers who’s contribution to camp was particularly outstanding. We have some spectacular young women at Point O’Pines!

We also took this opportunity to recognize outstanding staff, including two recipients of the new Sherie Alden and Erin Shoulberg Award for Outstanding Leadership. This award will be accompanied by a scholarship grant from the Himoff Family and was created to celebrate staff members who exemplify caring, fun, organizational skill, and leadership. Honoring those staff members who have demonstrated these extraordinary qualities celebrates and honors what Erin and Sherie brought to their life at Point O’Pines Camp.

Citizenship In this final week we recognize the rare camper who embodies all of the qualities we have highlighted throughout the summer. These are great all-around campers who show the ideals of what it is to make our community better by being a part of it.
Courage This award is given to a camper who has the courage to do what is right, even when what is right does not match with what is popular. Her bravery is represented in social situations and at activity areas, where she has worked hard to try something new or outside of her comfort zone. She is fearless when it comes to reaching her goals and making camp a better place for all.
Authenticity This award is given to a camper who is able to be her true, whole self in all contexts around camp. She is honest and sincere. No matter the situation, she keeps her personal values in mind and behaves in ways consistent with those values. She respects other campers’ authenticity as well, and doesn’t try to change others into people they are not. This camper appreciates diverse perspectives, but stands up for what she believes is right.
