At Point O’Pines we have all round dining room tables. Of course, we want our girls to have equal access to our family style food platters on the tables, but more importantly we do not want anyone to be left out of the meal time conversation. We like having no ends so everyone is in the “middle.”

All the buses, planes, trains and automobiles for today have made it, and the campers are safely here. We have seen old friends, and are already making new ones. In a few minutes, the great Peak of 2012 will lead off a great summer at the point, sing a new Sherie song, and then later tonight the counselors are going to put on a show for all of us in the rec hall.
In a word, “tomorrow.” We are so excited. At this time tomorrow there will be just a few campers here and the buses will be on their way. We are so excited for tomorrow. Counselors are eager for tomorrow with banners to welcome you. Parents are excited for tomorrow, taking care of those last minute details. Returning campers are ready for tomorrow to rejoin their great friends and to make new friends. New campers are anticipating all the new things at camp tomorrow where they will be welcomed and have the best time of their lives. We are ready for tomorrow, are you? See you tomorrow!
Our nutritious camp menus are posted daily so that we can share with you the menu available to your daughter. The menu covers our main courses served family style to each table. This being said we have options for the more discerning eaters. At every meal we have a buffet we call the “Salad Bar.” Some campers choose most of their meal here, and many of our older girls regularly create their own favorites such as a chicken Caesar salad. We always have grilled chicken breast, tuna and chicken salad, a wide variety of fresh vegetables, including both local and organic produce from our own farm.
At the salad bar, there are also entree options, high protein dishes for vegetarians and enticing ready-made salads prepared by our chefs. We also pride ourselves on gluten-free options, dairy free options and other choices prepared by a chef dedicated to special diets. Our pasta is very inviting with both whole grain and semolina pasta, all imported from Italy. Some enjoy our grilled fresh garden vegetables with a little drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, or served on a fresh baguette with hummus. That’s what we call delicious and healthy.
