National Grid, our local power company, has experienced an equipment failure of some sort at their station so we are temporarily without power. Some of our phones have also been affected. They currently expect power to be restored by 8:00. As many of you know, we have full power generation capability so every outlet, light, smoke detector or refrigerator is working fine. We had less than 30 seconds before our full power here was restored, so please don’t worry. Banquet has started and will go off without a hitch.

The important thing is the theme this year is: “The Greatest Show on Earth”. In fact, we have had a power outage for Banquet before. (Alumnae Quiz: Anyone remember the year?)
