From the hike:
This week a small group of Inter As and Inter Bs took on Black Mountain. Being the highest mountain in the Lake George Wilderness Area, this trip was no easy feat. The first day we hiked to Black Mountain Pond where we made dinner on our camp stove. We also enjoyed hot chocolate to satisfy our taste buds. After a restful night in the lean-tos we began our trek up the switchback trail on the south side of Black Mountain. The view was extraordinary, Campers looked out over the Adirondacks and also caught a glimpse of Lake Champlain, which separates New York and Vermont. This group proved themselves to have a great work ethic and exceptionally positive attitude. We’re so proud of these campers.
