Camp is a place of deep friendships that flourish for years and years. The Point lost a dear friend, Mike Wernow, who worked with parents and staff as “Mike the Money Man” for over 30 years. Mike retired from a 35 year career teaching children math in Long Beach, NY, and retired just a few years ago from our POP office. Mike was well know at camp for his jokes and whit, and was always a good friend to our community. He passed away this last Pi Day, and we miss him along with his family, adopted family and friends. Our hearts go out to our community, and we treasure the great times we shared together.

Sledding into Summer!
This weekend we welcomed the Peak of 2024 to camp! The excitement for 2024 began with a beautiful day on Brant Lake. The girls also worked on their plans to inspire younger campers, and even shared ideas for a Breakout to remember. Summer is straight ahead and they are sledding right toward it!

Together with Our Camp Family
Reunion is a great reminder of all of the wonderful connections and bonds made year after year at our summer home. We were excited to see so many of our campers and staff together for our reunion this weekend. It was heartwarming to see how quickly the outside world melted away and smiles filled the room, just as it does when our campers step off the bus on day one at camp.
During reunion, we played some camp games, watched the Summer 2023 video, which transported us back to our most cherished camp moments, signed our 2023 yearbooks that are full of fun memories, and added in a sneak peek of new activities and fun in store for the 2024 camp season.
We want to thank the outstanding Peak of 2023 for pouring your energy into helping create a memorable summer experience. We already miss all of you.
As we approach Thanksgiving, our hearts are filled with gratitude for our campers, dedicated staff, alumnae, parents, families, and our supportive Adirondack community who make Point O’Pines the magical place it is. We have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving season. It was one of our most wonderful years at camp yet. We cherish the memories, the friendships, and the traditions that make our camp community unique. Wishing you all a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!

There is No End to the Memories
We miss our campers and staff already. We all really had the best time together this summer! We came together, created and experience the magic of the Point. You accomplished so much, and parting is so very hard. We hope that you have had time to reflect on the most treasured of your summer memories
One of the most difficult parts is seeing the great Peak of 2022 going off to open a new chapter of life. You Peakers made the summer spectacular. We are so excited to see how you continue to grow, and the amazing things you will accomplish. The Point will always be here for you.
We love you Peakers, we love you Camp.
Want to Build a Snowman?
Brant Lake was the venue for a weekend of fun and preparation for summer. The Peak of 2022 started their planning for events to remember, and outlined ways to bring their own brand of leadership and excitement this June. It might be cold, but it won’t be long until summer!
