News From The Point

We all love fresh bread and pasta.  At The Point our girls will enjoy freshly baked breads such as baguettes, boules or maybe rustic country loaves, warm on their table, ready to enjoy.  Those girls with a taste for traditional sliced bread will only find Arnold’s Country Whole Grain.  Delicious and also great for you.

Pasta lovers will find all our pasta is imported from Italy.  We find Italian pasta is better tasting and more nutritious.  Often we use whole grain pasta or we give a choice.  Although the whole grain is great tasting and better for you, some of our campers just need to be won over.  We try to do this with delicious home prepared sauces, extra virgin olive oil and freshly grated parmesan.

There are so many great things about the Point O’Pines menu that will thrill every camper’s taste buds. 

We are dedicated to healthy choice and expose our campers to delicious, enticing and healthy meals.  We challenge campers to taste new things and report their opinions.  When they help to grow our veggies at our farm and pick them and even cook them, often the “veggie challenged” camper will taste and enjoy.  We love winning our girls over to the healthy side. 

You will be hearing more about the farm and the “Farm to Table” program, our “Healthy Moments” in the dining room, our exclusive whole grain Arnold’s bread program and the array of  unique salads available to our campers.  Our girls know about “fresh”, since we apply it to all our entrees, vegetables, bakery products and all the food served to the campers.  It’s not just about those delicious warm chocolate chip cookies and cold milk at evening snack, but we must admit many find evening snack to be a highlight.

Desserts are our sweet ending.  We bake all of our desserts at Camp and use the best and freshest ingredients, we try to incorporate whole grains and fresh fruit. We control portion size and explain to our girls the concept of moderation and choice. Our desserts are a balance of nutritious and delicious.  Often we can achieve both making the most nutritious also the most delicious.
