Callie, Tessa and the camp staff had a perfect break in the clouds tonight to watch Venus pass in front of the Sun. We used our solar filters on the camp telescope to safely watch the Sun, and there were quite a few sunspots to see, as well.

Town & Country Awards Point O’Pines for Best Camp Food

We just wanted to thank Town & Country Magazine for honoring us with their merit badge for the Best Camp Food. Check out the article in the June/July 2012 issue (p. 104).
We love sharing a great meal after a busy day with our campers and staff, and we would like to completely redefine what kids and parents expect from camp food.
In just a month you will be here! We have many new menu items planned that you will absolutely love. We are incredibly excited for a great summer.
100 Days

Wow! Today it is only 100 days until we are together again. We are getting excited, how about you? What are you the most excited for?
Swimming Anyone?
This has been quite an interesting week out on Brant Lake. Today a group of SCUBA divers came out to enjoy Brant Lake under the ice. The group cut through the ice to practice their ice diving skills. While I love the lake, I stayed high and dry today, and snapped a few pictures for you. Have any of you ever seen ice divers in action?

Bald Eagles Returning to Brant Lake
In the past few years we have seen more bald eagles up here on Brant Lake. Last year, Sue and Jim even had an eagle land on a tree behind their house, and this morning Brandon finally caught one of them on film. While they generally stay away from the busyness of the summer these surprisingly huge birds are becoming an increasingly frequent sight. This bald eagle was out in the middle of the frozen lake early this morning. What an amazing place to call home.
