Last night we watched two dedicated teams singing beautifully. Thank you for a wonderful sing. While it was close, the winner was the White Team. Congratulations to both teams on their hard work and sweet singing!

The Point O’Pines Wacked-up Relay is one of the favorite events of the summer. The relay is no ordinary race. It is part of team competition and the Blue and White runners race from crazy event to crazy event. This year’s race was so close, changing hands over and over again as the teams tried their hardest. For the final event two Peakers stack cans for each team. They started out very close, but White gained a small lead and then Blue had to start over as its stack leaned over a little. In the end, Blue team restacked so quickly and was able to win by seconds. It was so exciting for us all!

What a show! Last night the Seniors entertained us at Senior Night. Thanks for a great evening!
Senior Night is an evening that combines wonderful entertainment with organization and preparation of leadership skills for Peak year. The Seniors must decide upon a show to perform as theater in the round. The performance takes place in the Rec Hall. A script for the evening is prepared and campers begin work on the play and the scenery. The scenery is elaborate and challenging and tests the teamwork and time management of the seniors. On the evening of the show, the camp enters through a grand entrance and is seated on blankets in the center of the Rec Hall. When it begins, the show unfolds all around the audience of campers staff. At intermission refreshments are served to the campers and the show re-commences. At the grand conclusion the campers depart and are each is presented with a memento of the evening.

Last night we experienced a walk down the red carpet for a movie premiere. It was film festival night and the movie was made here at Point O’Pines.
All of the girls worked so hard together to create a short series, “The Treasure Island Inside Me.” Just seven short weeks ago Group One kicked off the first episode with a girl receiving a letter, and since then another eleven groups have followed the story to create this twelve episode series. At the end, we applauded a great show, and we were so excited as awards were presented to the filmmakers.
Through the course of the summer, each camper has played a part in writing, casting, directing and editing their episodes, as well as creating props and sound tracks.
We are very proud of all the girls in video this year and look forward to seeing what the next Steven Spielbergs create in the future!
