Girls Sleepaway Camp in the Adirondack Mountains in Brant Lake, New York
This weekend we were back in Westchester, NY for the 2014 FARE (“Food Allergy Research & Education”) Walk for Food Allergies. Point O’Pines Camp is a sponsor of this great organization, and Brandon and Caressa got to see some of our campers there. It was also terrific this year to share our experiences of being nut free.
Last night we celebrated, cheered, hugged and cried. It was a summer to remember. We had great times, made great friends and stregthened old friendships. We learned a lot in our activities, but also about ourselves. We love you all and miss you already. Best wishes for a fabulous next few months and for a speedy return to Brant Lake.
Today we must send the Great Peak of 2014 off on the next part of their journey. You have been through so much together and grown as women. You have been able to leave a legacy of strength and group accomplishment. We have seen the huge potential you all have and are excited to see the many great things to come. Remember, we will always be your summer home.
Thank you to our terrific staff. You have given so much of yourselves to all the campers, and we appreciate you so much.

This year’s Banquet was a fantastic showing of “The Ride of a Lifetime.” The Peakers did such a great job. Thank you for making this event so special.
At the end of the evening we recognized a few campers who were truly outstanding in one area of camp or in all of camp. We are so lucky to have so many deserving campers.

Congratulations and thank you to all these girls!
After last night’s announcement of the Team Sing won by the White Team, the girls excitedly awaited this morning’s news of the winner of Team Competition for this summer. Everyone played their hearts out and put everthing they had into this summer. We were so proud of both teams’ accomplishments.
But there has to be a winner and this year the winner is the White Team.
Both teams are headed to Main Lawn and, in Point O’Pines tradition, every camper gets in line to shake the hands of every camper on the other team. We all end the summer as friends above all else.
Campers just love the organic farm-to-table program at our beautiful 500 acre farm and equestrian facility. At the farm, the girls nurture seedlings in our greenhouse and then grow the tastiest vegetables in the garden with our organic farmer and cooking instructor.
Campers create tasty meals from home grown vegetables and learn to cook them for lunch or dinner in our beautiful wood-fired Italian stone “forno” oven. You can enjoy the “best breads and pizzas in the world” served with your choice of fresh toppings. It is such a treat for campers to be able to enjoy this gorgeous outdoor kitchen with a view.
