This past Friday, Point O’Pines was filled with sunshine and the unmistakable joy of Visiting Day. Families from near and far joined us for a beautiful day at camp, and we’re so grateful for the energy and love they brought with them.
This summer, Visiting Day took place all in one day. That change allowed the girls to jump right back into their favorite camp routines. From the moment the day began with a rush of hugs outside the Rec Hall to the Breakout dance that took over Main Lawn, it was clear just how special it is to share this place with the people we love.
Parents joined their daughters at activities all across camp, especially down at the waterfront, where swimming, boating, blob climbing and sunshine made for unforgettable memories. We even had an impromptu Pickleball tournament.
As always, the girls led the way by showing their families around, introducing their counselors and friends, and simply enjoying a day in the place they call home all summer long.
We were also thrilled to see so many Point O’Pines and Brant Lake Camp alumnae return to camp. It’s always meaningful when past campers come home especially as camp parents, and we shared a special alumni photo to mark the moment.
We’re already back in the swing of things, with full days of activities, evening programs, and the magic of the Point. On Sunday, the energy continued with our Team Competition Swim Meet. The spirit on the waterfront was high, with girls cheering each other on in a great display of teamwork and camp pride.
Thank you to all the moms and dads who brought their joy, their hugs, and maybe even the great weather, too.
Here are just a few moments from the day:
