About Our Summer CampA tradition of caring, a summer of fun

The Point O’Pines Camp Experience
On a beautiful peninsula nestled in the Adirondack Mountains overlooking beautiful Brant Lake, girls of all ages come together for eight fleeting weeks to create memories that will last a lifetime. Every summer at Point O’Pines is filled with fun, friendships, learning and excitement. Our campers develop and improve skills through high-level instruction, and are encouraged to try new things while learning about others and themselves. Campers enjoy every moment of summer camp while they grow in confidence, leadership and self-esteem in a secure, community environment.
Our Camp Community
In our Point O’Pines community, we cultivate a welcoming, comfortable camp environment. In our summer family, campers and staff are encouraged to respect one another’s important roles within our camp community. At Point O’Pines, having fun is always regarded as more important than winning, and the attributes of good citizenship – friendliness, honesty, generosity, and camp spirit – are held in the highest esteem.
Over 50 years of excellence
Point O’Pines has been owned and operated by the Himoff Family since 1984. The Himoff’s have taken great care to preserve many of the traditions that began in 1957 when Hoby and Norma Rosen founded the camp. Everything about Point O’Pines embodies timeless quality and unique attention to detail. Every program has attentive expert instructors and the most modern equipment. Our staff members demonstrate a culture of care and responsibility and set a positive example for campers. Every detail at the Point is as perfect as we can possibly make it. Point O’Pines Camp is a place of beauty and fun, and a haven where friendships flourish.
Over 90% of our campers return
Point O’Pines campers call their camp their summer home year after year. It is easy for campers to thrive at Point O’Pines because so many friends cheer them on, dozens of caring and skilled instructors show them the way, and a beautiful, serene environment where girls come together for eight weeks to create memories that will last a lifetime.
We love to welcome new campers into our family
Our directors take great care to get to know all new campers individually before they come to camp. By understanding each camper’s individual needs, we can arrange our campers into bunk situations according to their personalities, interests, and compatibility. We connect our new campers with other new and returning campers before camp and every younger camper is paired with an older camp sister to provide a comfortable, friendly introduction to camp life.
